The Guide Dog Foundation and its sister organization, America’s VetDogs is opening its campus doors to the public on July 23, from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Come experience service dog demonstrations, speak to local veterans and first responders about how their service dog has improved their lives, explore volunteer opportunities, learn about the life-changing work service dogs provide & much more.

No registration necessary. Guide Dog Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides guide dogs to those who are blind, have low vision, or other disabilities, free of charge to those in need. Guide Dog Foundation
 is located at 371 East Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown, New York. Join us and learn how you can help those who have served our nation with honor live without boundaries.

2:45p.m.  – 3:00p.m. –  ARRIVAL
3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Registration Sign-In & Welcome (will remain open throughout event)
3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – Guide Dog Foundation demos on back squares and informal Q&A after
4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – BREAK
4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – Puppy Class outside with narration and informal Q&A after
5:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – BREAK
5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – America’s VetDogs demos outside and informal Q&A after
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – OPEN TIME – visit tables, informational discussions, buy merch, etc.

 

EVENT INFORMATION

Open House will take place in Guide Dog Foundation administrative building located on the left of 50 Acre Road South. Please enter through the main entrance, adjacent to flag pole and bronze dog statue.
