Taxi Team

Taxi Team volunteers drive Foundation-owned vehicles to transport puppies, adult dogs and people to various local and long-distance destinations. Trips include meeting puppy raiser groups from Maine to Virginia. Also needed are drivers to the NYC airports, Nassau & Suffolk veterinary clinics, and other destinations to meet volunteers, staff, and graduates.  The Foundation provides our vehicle, gas, tolls and other necessary travel expenses.

Hours of Volunteering:  Daily trips from early morning to evening.

Requirements:  General and Taxi Orientations, Leash Handling class, shadow our staff driver. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a current, valid driver’s license, DMV check required.
