Public Relations Representative
Director of Marketing
Position is responsible for the generation of media stories, report on communication activities for internal and external outreach intended to help both the Guide Dog Foundation and America’s VetDogs. Representative will field media questions, develop and maintain media relationships and help create Foundation communications and promotional material. Assist in event planning. This position will work to increase the organization’s visibility and help shape favorable public and customer perceptions of the Foundation.
Position Essential Requirements:
5-7 years of relevant experience in public relations and communications.
Must have a proven track record with digital and traditional media campaigns, have strong writing skills and already established media contacts.
Strong organizational, project-management, time-management skills required to meet deadlines.
Ability to think strategically and develop/weigh messaging against a bigger picture.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing (or other relevant fields)
Flexibility with work hours and special requests. Day, evening, weekend hours may be required. Travel require, driver’s license in good standing.
